System Rental

Abtech is able to provide a wide range of HP9000 and Sun systems and peripherals for long or short term rentals. We can also provide Intel servers, desktops, notebooks and networking equipment.

This can be particularly useful for providing extra capacity for projects or peaks in demand. We can also provide systems to test software or operating system upgrades.

Our 'try before you buy' option allows customers to rent a system for a month to check that they have the correct configuration. Rental charges can often be offset against the purchase price.


Our rental options are as follows:


  Rental periods from 1 month to 12 months as standard.
  Longer periods available as bespoke solutions.
  3 and 5 Year Lease and Lease Purchase Options.
  HP9000 Systems, Processors, Memory, Disk Systems and most other peripherals.
  HP Proliant and IBM X series Intel servers and peripherals.
  HP Desktop and Laptops.
  Networking equipment including Local, Wide and Storage Area Networking components.
  Option to buy at the end of the rental term.
  Flexibility to extend rental period if projects overrun.






System Rental


Examples of current systems:

• A multinational airport handling company was looking to upgrade its main systems to comply with new regulations. In order to minimise downtime, Abtech were able to rent them a duplicate of their main system on which to build and test the applications. This service allowed them to maintain the 24/7 service to their customers.

• A large UK leisure organisation needed extra capacity to cover them over the peak summer period. Abtech provided them with an additional system pre-configured to mirror their core database servers. This was on site for six months and at the end of the term the customer was so happy with the results, they purchased the system.

• Abtech has an ongoing relationship with a US software house where we provide them with desktop and laptop computers to handle the large number of exhibitions they attend in the UK. These systems are pre-configured and delivered to the exhibition venues so the sales people can perform software demonstrations.
